We are seeking a skilled Cashier to join our team as a Evening Supervisor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. As well as manage a team of 3+ people.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with food safety and health regulations.
Train, mentor, and manage team members to enhance their skills in customer service and food preparation.
Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accuracy in transactions.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization within the restaurant.
Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Collaborate with management to implement strategies for improving service quality and operational efficiency.
Help keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
Monitor stock and let management know when there are shortages
Operate cash register and handle cash transactions with customers
Scan goods and collect payments
Attend deli counter by slicing and weighing out deli meats
Attend ice cream counter
Issue receipts, change, or tickets
Maintain a clean and tidy checkout area
Qualifications
Proven experience in restaurant management or a supervisory role within the food service industry.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating positive dining experiences.
Ability to work flexible hours, including afternoons, evenings and weekends as needed.
Ability to work well in a team setting
Excellent time management skills
Proficiency in Point of Sale (POS) systems
Strong upselling skills to promote products or services
Excellent phone etiquette for customer inquiries
Good grasp of basic math for accurate transactions
Experience in cashiering or related roles preferred
Proficient in cash handling procedures
