Overview

We are seeking an experienced server to join our dynamic team in an up-scale restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have a strong understanding of food, wine and service practices. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have an enjoyable, attentive dining experience while efficiently managing orders.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner. Take accurate food and beverage orders using the Lightspeed POS system. Provide knowledgeable recommendations to enhance the dining experience, including upselling menu items. Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while monitoring guest satisfaction. Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing Moneris payments and providing change. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, adhering to sanitation standards. Communication with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods. Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, providing excellent guest services at all times.

Qualifications

Previous experience in the food service or restaurant industry is preferred. Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Lightspeed is advantageous. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Knowledge of food handling practices and commitment to food safety standards. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and hospitality.
