Evening Line Cook/ Shift Supervisor

Flexibility Required



Must have availability to work Monday to Sunday - days and evenings as the shifts are dictated by business levels

Opened in the summer of 2020, The Inn on Officers' Garden is a new boutique hotel, dining establishment and event venue in historic Currie Barracks.

Dining spaces at The Inn include Officers Pub, the largest dining space on site; Vino Chat and adjoining lounges The Wine Cellar and The Games Room, which has billiard tables. Flanders Fine Foods provides grab-and-go service and can also do buffet service.

As a Line Cook you are responsible for supporting the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs in delivering consistently high-quality food, handle purchase orders and ensure that items arriving without authorization are not received.

Ensures the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keeps up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques.

Key Responsibilities:



Follow opening and closing procedures and checklists to maintain company standards. Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards Ensure the highest level of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Collaborate with the kitchen and Front of house team to ensure timely and efficient service. Maintain a positive and professional attitude in a high-pressure environment. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications:



Passion for food and customer service Knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs Strong communication and teamwork skills Attention to detail and commitment to excellence Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
