Job Description

RAS is looking for an EVENING FORKLIFT OPERATOR to to assist in all duties in a lumber yard setting. Loading wood framed wall packs, picking lumber orders and assisting with cutting joist packs. Hours would be 3:15pm - 11:45pm.
Forklift operator and order picking experience required. Telehandler operation experience would be a plus.

Crew housing not available - must be local.

Responsibilities:

Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials and products within the facility. Safely stack and organize materials in designated areas, such as shelves, pallets, or storage racks. Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure proper functioning. Adhere to safety standards and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries. Assist in inventory management by accurately documenting the movement of materials and products. Support production operations by delivering raw materials or components to workstations. Dispose of waste or recyclable materials appropriately and efficiently. Report equipment malfunctions or any safety concerns to supervisors immediately. Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet production deadlines. Other duties as assigned - this position requires task flexible and employee may be assigned to other duties such as fabrication of panels when forklifting duties not required

Qualifications:

Valid forklift operator certification or license Proven experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse setting. Strong knowledge of safety procedures related to forklift operation. Physical ability to lift heavy items and work in a fast-paced environment. Good organizational and time-management skills. Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory and operations.
