Overview

Laila's Cheesecake Co. is seeking a skilled and passionate Part-Time Baker to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for crafting our signature cheesecakes while ensuring the highest standards of quality, taste and presentation. You will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills while providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

This part-time position with evening shifts from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Shifts may fall on any day of the week, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Prepare, bake and decorate a variety of cheesecakes in different formats Ensure consistent taste, texture and appearance of all cheesecake products Decorate cakes to enhance visual appeal and meet customer specifications. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized bakery workspace while adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations. Assist in daily bakery tasks, including making ingredient preparations, making sauces and baking Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with orders, answering questions, and offering recommendations. Collaborate with team members to maintain smooth bakery operations and timely production. Follow all food handling guidelines to ensure safety and quality in food production.

Skills

Previous bakery experience required, with hands-on experience baking cheesecakes highly preferred. Strong understanding of baking techniques, preparation, and kitchen operations Attention to detail with a passion for creating high-quality, visually appealing desserts. Excellent customer service and communication skills with a friendly, approachable attitude. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards. Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations in the food industry. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage baking and customer service tasks.
