Do you have what it takes to make smart vehicles for a smart world? Join the Axiom team!! Where does the EV Controls Engineer fit in? The EV Controls Engineer will be responsible for developing controls algorithms for Electric Vehicle (EV) Battery Management system and ECU (Electronic control unit). The role also includes validating the design utilizing various platform (Rapid Prototyping, Software-in-the-Loop, Hardware-in-the-Loop, vehicle testing) to ensure robustness and quality of the production software. What you can expect as our next EV Controls Engineer: Develop algorithm for powertrain controls, high-voltage battery thermal management and low-voltage management (PCB design of the tractive system accessories - TSAL, Isolation, Safety circuit, Latching circuit)Create state of the art system simulation and control platform. Research new technologies, materials, and processes to understand their benefits, limitations, and required investment. Collaborate with system engineers to establish vehicle and sub-system requirements, and implement them into software designDevelop novel design solutions to control problems applying electrical, mechanical, thermodynamics and material sciencesDesign and implement software/hardware-in-the-Loop testing Design, build, test tasks related to the battery management system and charger Design involved EMI minimization and run simulations (TINA-TI) Integrate ECU parameter to influence quickly to modify the vehicle\'s behavior. Design feedback and safety electronic system for wheels, brake sensors, and steering Develop the battery BMS CAN bus connection with the charger Software development of traction control systems and the active energy management systems. Collaborate with validation engineers to develop DVP and test methods to check functionalities on bench and on the vehicle environment.Develop toolchains and methods to automate testing and perform data analysis to improve efficiencySupport designing vehicle features and the interfaces between the vehicle controllersPerform debugging and failure analysis of complex hardware and software interactionsAnalyze data, troubleshoot vehicle, and drive root cause identification with cross-functional teamsProvide status reports documenting SW implementation & bug/service resolution Support and track testing activities.
