We are seeking a skilled ETL Tester with substantial hands-on experience in advanced SQL and Python. This role is open to candidates with either a Quality Assurance (QA) or Developer background, provided you can demonstrate core expertise in complex SQL operations on ETL platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and execute comprehensive ETL test cases and scenarios
Write and optimize advanced SQL queries for data validation, transformation, and troubleshooting
Collaborate with development teams to understand business and data transformation requirements
Validate large volumes of data across multiple sources and targets using advanced SQL
Develop automation scripts in Python for ETL testing and process streamlining
Analyze, report, and track defects; recommend solutions
Participate in Agile/Scrum processes and provide expertise throughout the test life cycle
Required Skills & Qualifications:
7+ years of hands-on experience in ETL testing or related roles
Strong command of advanced SQL (complex joins, window functions, query optimization, data analysis)
Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation
Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, DataStage, SSIS) is a plus
QA professionals or Data/ETL developers with hardcore SQL expertise are welcome
Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and validate large datasets
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Must have:
7+ years of Testing experience
Good background in ETL Testing
Good background in SQL / Db testing
Experienced with AWS services required are S3, Glue, Cloudwatch, Airflow and Athena
Mode:
Hybrid (2-3 days/week in office, Downtown Toronto; rest WFH

Pay: $29.11-$42.00 per hour
