Develop comprehensive project estimates by analyzing blueprints and specifications. Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams through effective negotiation to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms. Prepare detailed cost breakdowns covering labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs to support accurate bidding processes. Conduct thorough reviews of contracts to ensure scope clarity, risk mitigation, and compliance with project requirements. Assist in creating realistic project schedules by coordinating with project managers to align planning with resource availability. Monitor project costs throughout execution to identify variances early and implement cost control measures that maximize profitability. Support project management efforts by providing detailed estimates for change orders, scope modifications, and potential risks. Maintain organized records of all bid documents, contracts, change orders, and project correspondence for transparency and future reference. Engage in ongoing market research to stay informed about material costs, labor rates, and industry trends that impact pricing strategies.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes from site preparation to finishing. Ideally experienced with Microsoft Office products and SAP. Solid knowledge of contracts, project management principles, and cost control techniques. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. Hands-on site experience that provides practical insight into field operations and project execution challenges. Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail in estimating documentation and reporting. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contractual documents accurately. Effective communicator capable of collaborating across multiple teams including project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients. Familiarity with management software platforms is a plus; a background in manufacturing or related fields is highly valued.
