Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimating Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction estimating and project management, with a strong ability to negotiate and develop accurate pricing strategies. This role is essential for ensuring that our projects are estimated accurately and competitively, contributing to the overall success of our construction initiatives.

Duties

Lead the estimating team in preparing comprehensive cost estimates for various construction projects. Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create precise estimates and manage project documentation. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate pricing. Conduct thorough analysis of project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to ensure all aspects are covered in estimates. Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best rates for materials and services. Monitor market trends and adjust estimates accordingly to maintain competitiveness in bids. Provide mentorship and training to junior estimators, fostering a collaborative team environment. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards throughout the estimating process.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction estimating, with a strong understanding of construction processes and methodologies. Proficiency in estimating software, particularly Bluebeam and HeavyBid. Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. Strong project management skills, capable of overseeing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Detail-oriented mindset with exceptional analytical skills for evaluating project costs accurately. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
