Estimator & Project Manager for Hardwood Flooring Projects This is an exciting opportunity for a career oriented person. In this role, you will be the liaison between Clients, Sales and Installation Teams. • Responsible for overseeing the execution of projects \xe2\x80\x94 from pre-sale estimation, multiple site inspections, and full project management to project signoff.
• Monitor and communicate with customer site teams on scheduling updates and site progress
• Build and maintain relationships with customer site teams, subcontractors, and associated trades
• Supervise the activities of installers
• Maintain a safe job site and ensure that the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act are enforced
• Ensures employees and all sub-contractors receive a workplace specific Health and Safety Orientation, and they have the necessary training to perform their work and report workplace hazards and injuries
• To model the way for hourly employees by becoming a mentor and demonstrating role model behavior including strong communication, conflict resolution and leadership ability
• Access and oversee sub-floor prep on concrete or plywood base to install glue-down hardwood floors, both of plank as well as intricate patterns such as borders, herringbone, chevron patterns and more
• Enforce full NWFA installation guidelines including conducting moisture, ph., temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations
• Demonstrated ability to handle stress and work in a self-managed environment
• Oversee warehouse on a day-to-day basis, assign daily priorities, ensure productivity, and perform quality checks
• Assist with training new warehouse or installation staff during the onboarding process
• Proactively investigate and resolve operational

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Project Management & Estimation Role in Hardwood Flooring
• 5+ Years in Take-off Estimation applications to deliver fast, accurate and detailed Estimates.
• Familiar or Certified NWFA, Installations & Inspections
• College or Equivalent higher education
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Exceptional Communication, Problem Solving and Leadership Skills
• This role is fast paced, a strong sense of urgency and the ability to problem solve is a must
• Passion for growth with a \xe2\x80\x98can-do\xe2\x80\x99 attitude and a curiosity to learn
• Must possess a valid Class G driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and have good driving record
• Ability to lift 70 lbs. and maneuver any package weighing up to 150 lbs. with appropriate equipment.
• Must be able to successfully complete equipment certification as required.
