Estimator / Project Manager
to join our growing painting company. In this key role, you'll be the bridge between our clients and our painting crew--responsible for building trust, providing accurate estimates, and ensuring that every job runs smoothly and on time.
Whether you're walking a customer through their color options or checking in on a jobsite to ensure high standards are being met, you'll be a hands-on leader dedicated to quality, communication, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Sales
Serve as the primary point of contact for all new and existing customers.
Perform on-site consultations to understand project scope and client preferences.
Prepare and deliver detailed, competitive estimates in a timely manner.
Explain quotes, materials, and process to clients in a clear, confident manner.
Follow up on estimates and secure project approvals.
Project Coordination
Plan job logistics: materials, labor, site readiness, and timelines.
Conduct job handoffs with the painting crew and perform periodic site visits.
Communicate scope changes or updates between clients and the painting team.
Maintain clean project documentation and change order records.
Quality Control & Customer Satisfaction
Lead final walkthroughs with clients and ensure all work meets expectations.
Manage warranty issues or touch-up requests as needed.
Request client reviews, referrals, or testimonials post-project.
What We're Looking For
2+ years experience in estimating, project management, or a similar client-facing construction or trades role (painting industry preferred).
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational habits.
Basic understanding of construction/painting processes and job costing.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize client relationships.
Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and CRM tools such as Jobber (or willingness to learn).
