Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estimator/Project Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will oversee the preparation of accurate project bids, manage pricing strategies, and collaborate closely with project teams and clients. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical in construction industry, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency with industry-standard estimating tools.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the full-cycle bid process, ensuring accuracy and strategic alignment. Review, produce all costs for tender submission - material, labour, equipment to develop accurate quotes Support business development initiatives by identifying opportunities and contributing to winning strategies. Deliver compelling internal and external presentations of proposals and estimates. Participate in closing the bid, startup and wrap up meetings and debriefs following the project completion Providing the management on updates of the projects. Interpret technical specifications and ensure compliance with bid documents. Perform and validate quantity take-offs to ensure precision in contract specifications and pricing. Foster strong relationships with trade partners, consultants, and clients to support project success. Identify, quantify, and communicate project risks and opportunities. Preparation of billing material and information for project billing each month to send to accounting team Processing and pricing of Change Orders for ongoing projects

Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience as Project Manager/Estimator for Electrical Projects Electrical Red Seal Journeyman or FSR Certificate would be an asset Experience in estimation for Hospital projects would be an asset Experience in construction estimating and knowledge of industry products, practices and standards Experience in ACCUBID, Bluebeam software and strong MS OFFICE application is required and Procore would be an asset Scheduling, cost control and contract management experience
