Job Summary


The Production Manager/Estimator is responsible to oversee and provide leadership to the body department while ensuring production targets are met and will be responsible to write detailed repair estimates daily. The Production Manager/Estimator is responsible for client sales and service activities to maximize revenue, profitability, and client satisfaction. He/she will actively seek value-add sales opportunities and maximize gross profit when creating estimates . The Production Manager/Estimator will work with the Body Technicians and supervise the overall production work. The Production Manager/Estimator will effectively collaborate with the paint department to achieve efficient vehicle flow.

Duties



. Create repair estimates for potential clients according to Fix Auto and insurance companies best practices/guidelines.

Actively seek value-add sales opportunities when inspecting the vehicle.

Develop estimates with a focus on projected gross profit.

Ensure estimate follow-up to maximize closing ratio.

Provide leadership to the body department.
Manages body production team to achieve cycle time targets respecting parts management and customer/insurance partner expectations, i.e, length of rental.

Ensure quality and safety standards are being met to reduce and eliminate re-work and warranty claims.

Monitors repair orders to maximize efficiency and gross profit .

Oversee damage report, repair orders and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed.

Monitor parts usage and report on any materials issues.

Assist in ordering replacement equipment, parts and supplies.

Accurate completion of work orders and time cards.

Keep detailed and accurate reports and documentation.

Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology and repair techniques.

Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to occupational health and safety regulations.

Other related tasks as required.

Requirements



High school or college automotive body repair diploma
At least 2-3 years of collision repair experience in estimating/sales

Experience in and competence with estimating systems (MCE Mitchell Cloud Estimating & Audatex) and Management software (Mitchell RepairCenter)

Possess a valid drivers' license

Proven leadership and track record of success

Ability to work independently in a busy environment

Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment

Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing

Ability to work well under pressure

Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
