Randstad is excited to partner with a leading Design-Build Contractor in the GTA who are well established and have been consistently growing. Our client is looking for an experienced Estimator to work across Water and Sewer projects. Our client is a Medium sized contractor and there is a lot of opportunity internally for development and growth. This position will join an established, supportive team.

Responsibilities
Preparing estimates and proposals for planning, organizing, and scheduling project work
Determining the total cost of construction project materials, equipment, utilities, and
labour
Seek estimates from vendors and subcontractors
Generate estimates from fundamental principles
Manage all stages of the tender process.
Handle bid closings and proposal submissions
Facilitate the transition of projects to field operation teams
Maintain a directory of suppliers and contractors
Establish and nurture professional relationships with subcontractors, construction
personnel, supervisors, and the estimating team
Regularly reporting to Management and keeping clients updated on the project status
Qualifications
Minimum of 4 years working as an Estimator within the Civil sector
Experience in estimating principles and practices; planning, execution, pricing, and
vendor/subcontractor coordination
Capable of deriving cost calculations for all tender aspects
Well versed in estimating package software
Specific water and sewer estimation experience required
