As they continue to expand operations, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial ICI Construction Estimator to join our client\'s team in Vaughan.

As a Commercial ICI Construction Estimator, you will play a vital role in our construction projects by providing accurate cost estimates and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. Your expertise in analyzing project plans, conducting material take-offs, and collaborating with subcontractors and suppliers will be essential for successful project bidding and execution. You will work closely with project management and business development teams to prepare comprehensive estimates, evaluate project risks, and contribute to the overall success of construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates.
• Conduct thorough material take-offs, including quantity and pricing calculations.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to gather quotes and negotiate pricing.
• Evaluate project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Prepare comprehensive and competitive bid proposals.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather information and assess project requirements.
• Monitor industry trends and stay up-to-date with changes in construction costs, materials, and regulations.
• Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to project management teams during project execution.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Commercial ICI Construction Estimator.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and costs.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Ability to perform accurate material take-offs and cost calculations.
• Familiarity with construction estimating software and tools.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• A degree or diploma in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
