Job Overview

We are looking for a hardworking Construction Estimator to join our team! As a Construction Estimator, your main responsibility will be to estimate the work of particular projects by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents and being in direct contact with clients, companies, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Explore documentation to gain a deep understanding of the project requirements

Organize and keep project documents up to date in the system

Select, measure, and track important metrics

Gather Accurate information

Uploads and downloads project files verifying completeness

Promote good customer service through follow up phone calls and answering questions via phone or e-mail.

Assist with any other miscellaneous projects and responsibilities

Meet and communicate with architects, builders, and developers to coordinate and support projects to their successful completion.

Drafting material takeoffs and placing orders with suppliers if necessary.

Other duties as requested.

Estimate residential, commercial, and Institutional projects.

Qualifications

BA in engineering, construction science or similar relevant field

Excellent knowledge of structural construction methods, the Ontario Building Code, systems, and materials.

High-quality comprehension of architectural and structural construction drawings.

Possess a strong technical aptitude and attention to detail.

Proficient in MS Office (Words and Excel), Bluebeam, AutoCAD

Previous working experience as a construction estimator for 1+ years in

Canada

.

Proficient in English, speaking and writing.

Highly motivated with excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.

Proactive and have a positive mindset.

Can adapt well to shifting priorities and schedules.

Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

Valid Ontario Driver's license.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour+ commission pay
