We take pride in suppling our commercial and residential customers with the best products and warranties in the business. As we grow, we are looking to add to our team. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the construction process by accurately assessing project costs and ensuring that estimates align with project requirements. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in construction estimating software, and the ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and subcontractors. Duties and responsibilities:
Estimate preparation for costs of materials and labour based on contract specifications, drawings and standards Review bid package blueprints and drawings Calculate material take-offs Communicate with suppliers to collect quotes on materials and subs for pricing Prepare bid packages with tender pricing for clients according to specifications Could include working with Autocad and shop drawings
Required skills:
Strong communication skills, written and verbal Proficient in blueprint reading and takeoff Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook ) and Windows 10 Willing and able to learn new skills and concepts quickly Autocad and Plan Swift experience would be an asset Team player
