Job Description

The estimator has the main responsibility of preparing quotes for screen-printed and digitally printed products, preparing documents for production, following up with customers regarding all needs to complete the work.

The estimator also has, in his customer service role, the responsibility of representing all Montreal Stencil services.

Daily tasks:
-Interpret the requests of our customers or our representatives in order to choose the best process and material.
-Read and understand our customers\' plans, quotes or drawings.
-Create an estimate with our ERP software (ICC).
-Convert the quote into an order.
-Print and complete the work order.
-Prepare production notes to explain the work.
-Check that you have everything necessary to complete the work. Graphic files in the right format and quality.
-Transfer the client\'s graphic files to the graphics department.
-Enter the customer\'s order into our accounting system (Avantage).
-Verification of the production schedule.
-Consult with production to improve our processes.
-Follow up with customers on orders, advise of delivery dates and/or delays. Call clients to answer questions that arise during the production of their work.

Qualifications:
-Education: completed CEGEP (DEC).
-Experience: 2 years of experience in the field of printing, in production or customer service.
-Mastery of imperial and metric units of measurement.
-Can read the technical specifications of a CAD drawing.
-Demonstrate knowledge of graphic file formats.
-Spoken and written languages: Excellent spoken and written French. Excellent spoken English, good written English.

Requirements

• Important - 2 years exp. customer service - printing or other
• Essential - Diploma of College Studies (DEC -CEGEP))
• Essential - French written and spoken
• Important - English written and spoken

• Asset - Can understand CAD drawings
• Asset - Knowledge of graphic file formats
• Asset - Adobe Creative Suite
• Important - Office suite
• Asset - Print production knowledge
