Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented

Estimator

to join our team in the hydrovac excavation and industrial tank cleaning sector. This role plays a key part in supporting the sales and operations teams by ensuring bids are thorough, competitive, and aligned with project scope and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare cost estimates for hydrovac, tank cleaning, and industrial services. Conduct site visits to evaluate scope, access, logistics, and potential hazards. Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to understand project requirements and develop cost-effective solutions. Determine labor, equipment, material, subcontractor, and permit costs. Prepare and submit RFQs/RFPs and formal bid packages. Track, review, and update estimates based on project changes or clarifications. Maintain detailed records of all estimates, proposals, and project costs for historical tracking. Collaborate with operations and project management teams to transition successful bids into active projects. Identify opportunities to optimize resources, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.

Required Qualifications:

A new grad with a engineering degree Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); estimating software experience a plus. Excellent math, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
