Position Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled

Estimator

to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in estimating costs for concrete and asphalt projects, including driveways, parking lots, sidewalks, curbs, and related site works. You will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive bids and cost projections for residential, commercial, and municipal projects.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze and Decipher project plans, specifications, and requirements to prepare accurate estimates. Conduct site visits to gather project data, assess conditions, and communicate with clients. Prepare detailed cost estimates including materials, labour, equipment, subcontractors, and overhead. Prepare and submit proposals, bid packages, and change orders. Collaborate with project managers, operations, and clients to ensure a smooth hand-off from estimate to execution. Track project budgets and provide input on value engineering or cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in construction estimating (asphalt and/or concrete preferred). Strong knowledge of materials, methods, and pricing in the paving and site development industry. Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.). Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to sites across London and surrounding areas.
