ABOUT US

StrongWall is a growing manufacturer of engineered precast retaining wall systems based in Hamilton, Ontario. Built from over 16 years of experience in the retaining wall industry. StrongWall serves residential, commercial, and infrastructure clients with custom wall solutions across Southern Ontario.

We're looking for an Estimator to join our team and help drive our next phase of growth.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Read and interpret site plans, structural drawings, and elevations

- Perform accurate material takeoffs and prepare detailed estimates

- Communicate with contractors, engineers, and internal teams to gather and clarify project scope

- Recommend layout and wall options based on site conditions and project requirements

- Coordinate with production and operations to ensure smooth project handoffs

- Track quotes and follow up with clients as needed

- Occasionally visit job sites to support feasibility assessments or clarify details

- Contribute to continuous improvement in our estimating and quoting process

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- 2+ years of estimating experience in construction or precast concrete

- Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering, or related field

- Proficient in reading blueprints and construction documents

- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

- Experience with Excel and Bluebeam (AutoCAD, Revit, or PlanSwift is an asset)

- Excellent communication and organizational skills

- Self-motivated and comfortable working both independently and in a team

- Valid driver's license for occasional site visits
