The Estimator works in collaboration with the multiple departments to estimate the quantities and values of specific works on a variety of proposed development projects, with particular emphasis on purpose built multi-family apartment rentals. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and teamwork skills combined with impeccable accuracy and high attention to detail. This position requires someone that is adaptable and eager to bring in a fresh perspective, while looking to advance their career with a rapidly growing organization.



Responsibilities include: accurate, timely preparation of full-cost estimates for residential construction projects. The role analyses historical and incoming data from other departments and incorporates it into the project construction budget.


Duties & Accountabilities




Preparation of thorough, accurate and timely estimates Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the overall estimated cost of a project Participate in the presentation and review of estimates Undertake and/or manage material take-offs Provide assessment of estimating accuracy and prepare relevant analyses Research, accumulate, evaluate and document historical cost data and compile summary reports to develop guidelines and precedence for future estimates Prepare estimates of probable costs of material, labor, and equipment for construction projects based on contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings and specifications Examine and analyze designs and provide direction on anticipated value engineering Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

Education & Qualifications




College, Trade or Technical Degree/Diploma in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, PQS, Estimate, Engineering or related field 2-4 years of related estimating experience Strong computer background including experience with MS Office and related estimating software Technical knowledge of modern construction practices, techniques, and equipment, understanding of construction documents Knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing Strong verbal and written communication and team collaboration skills

What do we offer you?





Finding and keeping the right people is very important to us. The anticipated annual salary for this position is $78,000.00 - $94,500.00 depending on experience.
