We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented

Estimator

to join our team and play a critical role in our continued growth and success.

Key Responsibilities



Estimate Preparation:

Analyze project plans, specifications, and tender documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects. Break down labor, material, and equipment costs to produce detailed project budgets. Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination: Obtain competitive pricing from vendors and subcontractors through RFQs. Evaluate and negotiate contracts to ensure project cost-efficiency.
Project Assessment:

Conduct site visits and collaborate with project managers to understand project scopes and complexities. Identify potential risks and propose cost-effective solutions.
Cost Analysis and Reporting:

Develop and maintain a cost database for materials, labor, and equipment. Present detailed cost reports to stakeholders and contribute to project decision-making processes.
Collaboration:

Work closely with the Project Management, Operations, and Procurement teams to ensure alignment between estimates and execution. Assist in the preparation of bids, proposals, and RFP responses.

Qualifications



Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry (commercial, industrial, or institutional sectors preferred).

Education: Post-secondary degree/diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

Comfortable developing and maintaining custom estimating tools, templates, and cost databases to support accurate and consistent project pricing. Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, or Sage Estimating). Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices.
Analytical Skills:

Ability to interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and tender documents. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in cost analysis.
Soft Skills:

Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet tight deadlines.
