Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the construction process by providing accurate cost estimates for various projects. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in construction estimating software, and the ability to effectively communicate with clients and project managers. As an Estimator, you will contribute to the successful delivery of projects while ensuring that budgets are adhered to and client expectations are met.

Duties

Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects. Build detailed project plans that outline timelines, resources, and costs associated with each phase of construction. Utilize construction estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to create precise estimates and manage project data efficiently. Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to negotiate prices and ensure competitive bidding processes. Monitor market trends and material costs to provide informed recommendations for project budgeting. Prepare detailed reports that summarize estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs. Maintain organized records of all estimates, revisions, and correspondence related to pricing.

Experience

Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential. Strong knowledge of project management principles and practices is preferred. Proficiency in using estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam is highly desirable. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Attention to detail with strong analytical capabilities to assess complex data sets accurately. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
