We have partnered with a custom home builder to support them in the recruitment process to find their newest hire; an Estimating Assistant.

Our client is seeking an Estimating Assistant to join their growing team on a permanent basis.
In this role, you will support the team by coordinating trades, managing purchase orders (POs), collaborating with designers and project managers, monitoring budgets, and assisting the Senior Estimator as needed.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role or industry and be familiar with BuilderTrend. We're looking for someone with a supportive, can-do attitude-someone who's eager to pitch in wherever needed, has excellent attention to detail, and strong prioritization skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The key job functions are:

  • Coordinate communication between trades, designers, and project managers to support project timelines and deliverables.
  • Manage and track purchase orders (POs), ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Monitor project budgets and support cost control by tracking price changes and identifying savings opportunities.
  • Provide administrative and analytical support to the Senior Estimator, including updating estimates, preparing change orders, and maintaining documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve workflow efficiency and implement best practices.
  • Accurately input and analyze data related to estimates and budgets.
  • Support various departments by applying your skills and adaptability across functions.
  • Contribute to process improvements and support key business initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Senior Estimator to grow in estimating knowledge and capabilities.
  • Ensure all estimating activities align with company goals and project requirements in a team-oriented manner.
Qualifications:
  • Experience using BuilderTrend is required.
Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience in junior project management, administrative support, or estimating support is required.
  • Hands-on experience coordinating with tradespeople and understanding job site timelines.
Skills:
  • Strong data entry and numerical skills with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Confident communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt and get up to speed with minimal supervision.
  • Professional, confidential, and business-minded in approach.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and initiative to contribute ideas for improved efficiency.
Base Salary: $60,000 - 70,0000 per year
  • Salary based on experience
  • Full benefits package included
Work Hours:
  • Monday to Friday
  • 9:00am - 5:00pm
Remote Work:
  • This position is not remote and required to be on-site.

  • This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
