Job Description

We are looking for a Medical Esthetician to join our practice in beautiful downtown Elora. We are a progressive practice with the most current technology, including Dry Eye Therapy with InMode IPL and RF.

Patient experience and customer care are our top priority. The ideal person for this job will be friendly, enjoy working with people and have excellent communication skills. He/she should have prior experience in an office/retail environment, medical preferred, but not required. The ability to work in a team environment, multitask and pay attention to detail is essential to the position.

Job duties will include the esthetics portion including IPL and Radiofrequency plus you will be cross trained as an Optometric Assistant.

Responsibilities:

Dry eye treatment using InMode IPL and RF technology and follow up of dry eye treatment, training for this will be provided. Effectively manage patient encounters including sales, concerns, after care and communications with professionalism. Responsible for pre-screening patients. This includes obtaining their medical and vision history, verifying vision insurance, and performing preliminary vision tests. Assist patients with frame selection, styling, fitting, lens selection and measurements. Schedule appointments and follow-up visits for patients and record data for patient billing purposes. Responsible for keeping the reception area clean and well-organized, as well as cleaning and straightening patient exam rooms. This includes putting up and organizing eyeglass frame displays. Enter lab orders and accurate patient information as well as supply insurance forms and receipts. Monitor job status from optical labs and ensure accuracy and quality. Verify prescription eyeglasses and notify patients when eyewear is ready. Instruct patients on proper eyewear use and care of new eyeglass lenses, problem solve eyewear concerns and issues to ensure patient satisfaction. Perform other related duties as required
