GGFI Law is looking for an Estates Law Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the Estates Department and its lawyers by preparing legal documents, managing files, and ensuring smooth processes for our clients. Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare Applications of Certificates of Appointment (with or without a Will)
Complete Estate Information Returns
Draft and review estate, trust, guardian, and attorney accounts
Liquidate share assets
Complete reporting letters and other necessary correspondence
Assist in the preparation of Wills and Powers of Attorney
Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications & Skills:
Graduate of a Law Clerk program from a recognized institution
Experience in Estates law at a reputable law firm
Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines
Ability to multi-task and take initiative
Excellent client service and strong verbal and written communication skills
Great attention to detail and ability to catch mistakes when proofreading
