UMC High School is urgently seeking a qualified and dedicated Part-Time English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher to support international students at the beginner level. The successful candidate will teach an ESL Beginner (ESLBO) course, fostering language development and academic readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach engaging ESL lessons using Schoology LMS and provided materials Develop lesson plans and assessments aligned with the Ontario Curriculum and Growing Success Support English Language Learners (ELLs) through differentiated instruction Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback Submit attendance, marks, and reports on time Maintain student records and organized course pages Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to enhance learning outcomes

Qualifications (Required):

Bachelor's degree in Education or related discipline Experience teaching ESL or high school students Familiar with Ontario Curriculum and Growing Success Strong organizational and communication skills Proficient with digital tools such as Schoology, Zoom, and Microsoft Office

Preferred:

B.Ed. or ESL teaching certification Experience teaching English Language Learners (ELLs) Experience teaching in-person, online, or hybrid formats

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
