Who We Are

Golden Voice English Online Education Inc. (GVE) is an e-learning company that is the

creator of a comprehensive online English program for students based in China. Offering a curriculum that follows the Chinese public-school system and is developed by education experts and industry-leading North American publishers, GVE focuses on speaking and listening skills, pairing experienced North American tutors with students in China in Grades 1-9.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a strong, multi-talented candidate who will be responsible for design, editing and production of a wide array of online educational materials in partnership with our overseas team in China and local team in Canada. This role will work primarily to create and improve editorial, graphical and content standards for the highest possible quality, navigational ease, consistency, and content architecture.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Work closely with GVE\xe2\x80\x99s Toronto Content Manager to get a thorough understanding of the existing curriculum and the learning cycles of GVE\xe2\x80\x99s lesson packages.
• Help conceptualize and facilitate implementation of ESL eLearning projects with an awareness of learners, parents, tutors and GVE staff needs.
• Guides the lesson development process by leveraging command of instructional and graphic design.
• Support and guide the Toronto Content team to be successful and accountable in the design, production and quality of ongoing eLearning and promotional materials.
• Edit and ensure aesthetically pleasing Power Point interactions and lesson plans for use by tutors weekly in an online real-time tutoring environment.

Qualifications

Required

• University degree in Education or related field.
• Copy editing and instructional design experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in TESL or TEFL.
• Previous experience with learning materials and lesson plans.
• A solid understanding of PowerPoint tools and functionality (Triggers, Animations, Hyperlinks, images).
• Technologically fluent, with experience working remotely (Google Suite, Zoom/Skype).
• Detail oriented, and dependable. Experience working under tight deadlines.
• Proven skills in verbal and written communication. Native speaker fluency with English grammar (written and spoken), awareness of American/Canadian culture.

Desired

• TESOL certificate (CELTA or comparable)
• Experience teaching English in Asia.
• Knowledge of the fundamentals of web-based-training and principals of instructional design.
• Experience in training and managing teachers is an asset.
• Experience in ESL publishing, such as content development or editing, is an asset.
