Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery and ensuring the safe and efficient completion of construction projects. When construction season is over, the ideal candidate will be operating heavy equipment for snow removal. This role offers an opportunity to work with a variety of equipment, including excavators, loaders, skid steers, and plow trucks. Candidates should have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in heavy equipment operation within a construction and landscape environment.

Duties

Operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, excavators, loaders and plow trucks with precision and safety. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Assist in site preparation, grading, excavation, and tasks as required for snow removal and site clearing Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule. Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic repairs when necessary. Drive commercial vehicles for transporting equipment or materials as needed. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.

Experience

Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as skid steers, excavators, loaders, plow trucks, and other small machinery Knowledge of Caterpillar (CAT) machinery is highly desirable. Experience with landscape maintenance and snow removal is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Prior experience in construction or related industries preferred. Valid Driver's License is a must. This position requires a dedicated individual with a focus on safety, efficiency, and quality workmanship in heavy equipment operation within the construction and landscape sector.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
