About Arctic Canadian Diamond Company Arctic Canadian is a Canadian mining company and a significant producer and supplier of premium rough diamond assortments to the global market. The company owns and operates the Ekati Diamond Mine, located in Canada\xe2\x80\x99s Northwest Territories. In addition to its mining and exploration operations, Arctic Canadian has offices in Canada and Belgium. Position Overview Reporting to the Team Leader \xe2\x80\x93 Site Services, the Equipment Operator \xe2\x80\x93 Utility 1 will operate equipment and perform labour tasks both safely and efficiently to successfully achieve the overall objectives of the Site Services department. Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate the following equipment: Vacuum / Roll-off / Sewer / Water / Cement / De-icing / Winch Trucks, 730 Articulating rock trucks, 777 Haul truck, IT 38 / 62 Front End Loaders, Cement Plant and Shot Crete Plant;
  • Safely and efficiently perform labour tasks including, but not limited to, dewatering duties, shoveling aggregate etc.
Education/Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED;
  • Class 1 Air Brake Certification
  • 1 year experience operating equipment in the construction or mining industry; please list equipment experience.
  • Experience working in the mining industry, northern Canada, and an understanding of the northern regulatory environment is preferred
