Operate heavy equipment Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks Measure distance, volume, length and weight Understand the purpose, proper usgage and information found on material safety data sheets (MSDS) Complete onboard and other logs Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment Secure special attachments to equipment Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment Perform minor repairs to equipment Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
