The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of equipment and machinery essential for our operations. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to perform heavy lifting, and proficiency with hand and power tools. The Operator will play a crucial role in maintaining equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.
Responsibilities
Operate heavy equipment and farm machinery safely and efficiently.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Utilize hand tools and power tools for various tasks related to irrigation and gardening.
Execute heavy lifting tasks as required by operational needs.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards.
Assist in the irrigation of fields as needed.
Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals effectively.
Qualifications
Proven experience in heavy equipment operation is preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Familiarity with planting and harvesting on a large scale.
Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the shift.
Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Basic math skills for performing necessary calculations related to tasks.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
