We are currently seeking to fill a

Full-Time External Maintenance Coordinator

role in our Fleet Repair & Maintenance facility office in Winnipeg.

Position Details:

Our

External Maintenance Coordinator

champions and oversees repairs with our partner vendors, ensuring timely and cost effective repairs of our fleet of tractors and trailing equipment. Utilizing your mechanical knowledge and experience, the Coordinator will assess and review repair estimates and invoices. This role will also assist drivers with breakdowns and on the road repairs, negotiating rates for parts/service, vetting and maintaining a list of shops/towing companies among other duties and responsibilities.

Shift: Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Ideally the successful candidate will have:

Mechanical knowledge and background (previous experience as a mechanic or other tradesperson in a similar environment is ideal) Industrial warehouse/retail parts experience preferred Truck & Trailer parts knowledge an asset Previous experience reviewing quotes and negotiating rates would be an asset Administrative skills & background (attention to detail for data entry, processing invoices etc.*)
Good interpersonal and communication skills Willing to work in a team environment (this role will provide support/back up occasionally to the parts desk)*
Strong initiative and work ethic Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn in-house software

The successful candidate will require a reliable vehicle as our office is located outside of public transport.
