Come work as an Equipment Panner with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!

Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for an Equipment Planner, Facilities Planning and Real Estate to join the Facility Functional Planning team at 520 West 6th Avenue in Vancouver, BC. In this position you will report to the Manager, Equipment Planning, and will be responsible for projects across Vancouver, Richmond and Coastal.

As an Equipment Panner with Vancouver Coastal Health you will:

  • Be responsible for developing, reviewing and coordinating clinical equipment needs throughout the planning process.
  • Develop specifications details and perform inventory assessment of all clinical equipment requirements for various projects at Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) and partner health authorities.
  • Work with a project planning team to establish, review and incorporate equipment lists into the planning and implementation phase of capital projects.
  • Assist with developing equipment budgets and installation of clinical equipment and maintain a project equipment database for the organization.
  • Projects ranging in complexity and size from smaller renovations to large-scale, new construction.
Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Biomedical Engineering, clinical engineering, biomedical technology, or health technology.

Five (5) to seven (7) years\xe2\x80\x99 recent, related experience with complex medical equipment, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge & Abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in collaboration/consultation with others.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of health care delivery systems.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and evaluation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain rapport with others.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to persuade and provide leadership and guidance to others.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate related equipment including related software applications.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Valid BC Driver\'s License as local area travel requires the use of a vehicle
