DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION:

Reporting to the Team Lead of the Equipment Loan Program, the

Equipment Assistant

works primarily in the equipment warehouse, ensuring the smooth operation of the Equipment Loan Program.

REQUIREMENTS:



Enthusiastic, energetic, and interested in helping others. Attention to detail and desire to learn. Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and team skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Knowledge of home health equipment is considered an asset. Reliable transportation (N.E. industrial area, just off Deerfoot Tr.). A full, (non-GDL) Class 5 Driver's License and an acceptable driver's abstract.

This position requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and extended periods of standing, walking, and other physical activity; applicants must be able to meet these physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



Handle the shipping and receiving of equipment, ensuring a smooth flow of items to and from our warehouse. Work closely with the Team Lead of the Equipment Loan Program to accurately track new and ongoing equipment requests. Identify equipment/items in need of repair and tag them for prompt attention. Perform minor maintenance/repairs on equipment, ensuring everything is in working condition for the next client. Manage and maintain comprehensive inventory lists for all equipment. Assist in the maintenance of equipment inventory by cleaning, preparing, and testing equipment upon their return to the warehouse. Collaborate with open communication by participating in weekly meetings with the Team Lead of the Equipment Loan Program. Engage with all stakeholders (vendors, clients, caregivers, donors, etc.) in a friendly and professional manner. Support the delivery of equipment in the local Calgary area, as needed. Other duties, as necessary.

Job Type: Onsite, Full-time (35 hours)

Hourly Rate: $21-23 per hour

Schedule:

Day shift 8:30 - 4:30 Monday to Friday No weekends
Ability to commute:

As this is an on-site position, it is essential that the candidate is ready, willing, and able to commute every workday. This means having reliable transportation in all circumstances.*

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
