Dairy Lane Systems started in 1990 as a Surge milking equipment dealer. Since that time, we have expanded our scope to include automated milking robots, stabling, manure management, plumbing and ventilation services. Most recently, we acquired 2 milking equipment dealerships in Western Canada. In addition to the milking equipment sales, service and installation business, we are also involved in the design, build and operation of renewable energy biogas plants (DLS Biogas), the construction of agricultural structures (DLS Structures) and the manufacturing of dairy farm equipment (DLS Manufacturing).

The successful candidate will work with the DLS team to repair equipment and company vehicles. The position requires working indoors and on occasion outdoors in all weather conditions.

This position, at times, does require work in and around dairy barns in manure laden environments.



This is a full-time position Monday - Friday working on various equipment and the company fleet vehicles. We offer a total compensation package which includes competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, work wear, PPE and the opportunity for growth and advancement, come grow with us!

The types of equipment one could support include screw press separation, centrifugal pumps, manure agitator and scrapers, piston pumps, electric motors, gear boxes as well as process control.

Job Duties



Repair equipment such as pumps and motors, gear boxes

Fleet maintenance, oil and tire changes, brake inspections, other repairs that do not require a licensed technician

Troubleshoot equipment and fleet failures - mechanical/electrical

Operate forklift/loaders

Perform routine maintenance or make minor repairs to mechanical, electrical or electronic equipment

Maintain a professional and collaborative relationship and image with our customers

Provide quality workmanship consistent with company and industry standards

Follow Health and Safety requirements in all regards ensuring prevention of illness/injury

Completion of necessary paperwork on time

Skills and Qualifications



Solid background and understanding of electronics, pumps and hydraulics

Highly organized to plan your day and prioritize your workload meeting deadlines

Ability to work independently or as part of team and take ownership of assigned work

Strong communication skills to clearly communicate with team members regarding the work being done

Ability to perform physical tasks that may require climbing, lifting, pushing, bending/stooping

Strong work ethic/highly motivated

Positive demeanour

Maintenance welding experience an asset

Must be legally entitled to live and work in Canada

Valid G driver's license with a clean abstract
