ISO: Full-time hybrid position as a Riding School Manager and Instructor
Riverside Equestrian Centre (Richmond) is a premium riding school and hunter/jumper show stable with a growing 30+ horses and ponies.

We are a friendly and professional environment focused on providing high-quality riding lessons, from beginner riders to A-circuit competition students. Full grooming service team to support instructors and students. This key role would be approximately 70% management and 30% teaching.

The Riding School Manager role includes:
Maintaining the riding school scheduling system for all instructors and horses
Managing email client communications (bookings, cancellations, inquiries, requests)
Onboarding new students, via email and in person
Recording and tracking payments
Integrate multiple software applications related to communication, automation and marketing
Coordinating with instructors, grooms, and the horse care team
Ensuring arena readiness
The ideal candidate will have strong skills:
A detail-oriented problem solver that that is comfortable multi-tasking
Microsoft Excel and experience in a variety of online business software applications
Client communications & can handle complex scheduling challenges
Decision making based on sound analysis, synthesis, and creative thinking
Judging risk as it relates to student and horse safety and welfare
Leadership and interpersonal skills with both colleagues and clients
The Riding School Instructor role includes:
Teaching students how to ride with an emphasis on safety, correctness, and skill development
Communicating effectively with students of all ages (ages 3-60)
Making judgement calls based on student safety and horse welfare
Working with a team of instructors, management, and head coaches
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, experience, and skills:
Equestrian Canada instructor certification preferred, or willing to pursue certification
Minimum of one year teaching technical riding
Customer service
Being safety conscious
Professional in communication and attire
Leadership experience and a team player

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
