Job Description

Infosys is looking for a Scrum Master. As Scrum Master you will be responsible for leading agile teams in deploying shippable products that meet quality parameters and target delivery dates. You will be facilitating scrum events and post-event reviews. You will also be responsible for coaching scrum team members to imbibe scrum values and principles and improve its agile maturity index

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. We Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of IT experience of which
• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Toronto, Canada or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.

Preferred Scrum Master Qualifications:

• 2 years experience of working within an Agile Release Train (ART) in organizations using SAFe
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in playing the role of a full-time Scrum Master with the following responsibilities:

• Coaching scrum team in framing the Team Working Agreement, Definition-of-Done and Definition-of-Ready.
• Facilitation of scrum events (sprint planning, daily scrum, sprint review and sprint retrospective)
• Ensuring healthy product backlog depth by working with Product Owner, scrum team members and other subject matter experts as needed
• Working with Product Owner in prioritizing user stories
• Collection of metrics and initiating process improvement
• Ability to work cohesively with scrum team members that are globally distributed with time-zone difference that is greater than 8 hours.
• Possess certification as a Scrum Master (CSM from Scrum Alliance of SAFe SSM)
• Hands-on experience in using tools like CA Agile Center (Rally), JIRA, VersionOne or HP ALM
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and interact with various stakeholders (Infrastructure, DBA, Architects, Product Managers, Release Train Engineers, etc.)
• Ability to transition to the role of an Agile Coach.
• Demonstration of continuous learning either by obtaining external certifications relevant to agile, participation in external forums or publishing thought papers
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
