We are seeking qualified and experienced

Industrial Journeyperson Painter/Blasters

to register their interest for upcoming projects in Alberta, British Columbia, and New Brunswick. This is an excellent opportunity to partner with Altrad Canada as we continue to grow.

Key Responsibilities

Operate blasting and spray-painting equipment to paint or apply other industrial coatings to manufactured items Prepare and set up work areas in line with JHA & risk assessments Apply protective coatings in accordance with company and site procedures Ensure compliance with material safety data and product data sheets Maintain high housekeeping standards and safe work practices at all times Use PPE appropriately and raise safety concerns where required Actively participate in safety meetings, training, and assessments

Qualifications & Experience

Journeyperson Painter ticket preferred. Non-ticketed Journeyperson based on proof of hours may be considered Trained and competent in abrasive blasting and protective coating applications Physically fit, capable of handling items up to 20KG and able to work at heights and in various environments Suitably trained and competent in both industrial abrasive blasting & applications of protective coatings Must be able to handle and utilize solvent-based paint, industrial thinners, and other coatings materials in accordance with applicable material safety data sheets Must be able to pass Verification of Competency Assessment Must comply with pre-access drug & alcohol screening and pre-employment medical assessment Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced industrial environment Demonstrate practical experience of risk management processes First Aid qualification is desirable Valid safety certifications (WHMIS, Working at Heights, Confined Space - as applicable)
