Job Description

RAM is a project delivery firm specializing in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering and Advisory services across Canada. RAM is searching for a motivated and experienced individual in Vancouver, BC. The successful candidate will be an individual that enjoys a challenging, professional, and dynamic workplace and contributing to the success of a hardworking team.



Key Responsibilities:



Create detailed underground and overhead electrical designs, including scope clarification, cost estimates, engineering calculations, and detailed design drawings. Understand and apply relevant utility standards, national and international codes (e.g., CSA, IEEE), and regulatory requirements. Support the preparation of project documentation, including technical specifications, tender packages, technical reports, schedules, and engineering calculations. Provide construction support by coordinating with contractors, clients, and internal teams to resolve field issues and ensure design intent is met. Respond to site information requests and complete post-construction documentation, including as-built drawings, final calculations, and data return packages. Assist the Lead engineers in implementing and maintaining QA/QC processes, ensuring documentation accuracy and adherence to project strategy. Participate in field visits and inspections to gather data and verify design feasibility. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical designs with civil, structural, and environmental components. Engage with clients throughout the project lifecycle to clarify requirements, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction with deliverables. Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and responsiveness.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:



Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution. E.I.T designation or eligibility for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC) or Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA). Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, including power systems, control systems, and instrumentation. Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit); familiarity with MicroStation is an asset. Experience or familiarity with electrical simulation and analysis tools (e.g., ETAP, SKM Power Tools). Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with a proactive approach to learning and collaboration.
