Western Site Technologies is seeking a full-time Environmental Technologist. Candidates must be highly motivated self-starters who are willing to learn and work independently and as part of a team. On-the-job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Assessing buildings for various hazardous materials (including asbestos, mold, bacteria, lead), collecting bulk samples of suspect materials for laboratory analysis Set up air monitoring during asbestos removal at client sites to assess employer compliance with OHS Working with Restoration Project Managers to understand site issues and project concerns at the earliest stage in the project. Calibrating and maintaining field sampling equipment as necessary Performing project administration tasks such as invoicing and reports tot he clients Daily travel to sites in Calgary and travel to and from site locations within Alberta Work will require some weekends and overtime (compensated)
Qualifications

Bachelor degree Previous asbestos abatement work (Preferred but not required) General experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word). Ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative environment in both written and verbal situations. Organized and able to manage conflicting priorities effectively. Excellent technical writing and documentation skills. Ability to adapt to changing schedules. Reliable personal vehicle with insurance required. Strong attention to detail. Asbestos Worker Certification (preferred but not required) Experience in a construction setting

Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
