This role operates on a 4 X 4 rotation of straight day shifts.To be successful, we are looking for someone who is organized and enjoys coordinating and carrying out field tasks, and finding solutions in a fast-paced, team environment. • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
• Support multiple, broad based sampling and monitoring programs and collection of chemical, physical and biological tests (water, biota, sediment)
• Apply quality control and quality assurance protocols to monitoring programs
• Maintain, repair, and calibrate monitoring and sample collection equipment and instrumentation
• Carry out environmental data entry, review, and management
• Participate in field investigations and inspections
• Coordinate contractor management to ensure work is being conducted safely and in accordance with the project scope
• Supervise and monitor environmental projects, such as remediation, maintenance of pollution control infrastructure or programs, and field sampling initiatives
• Develop and review Environmental Protection Plans, field level risk assessments, and other risk management tools
• Analyze field and analytical data to draft technical reports and communications

Qualifications:

• Degree or Diploma in a related industry area, such as Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Technology or in an Earth Sciences field, such as Biology, Geography, Forestry, and Agriculture
• Experience in environmental compliance or monitoring in the resource industry
• Knowledge of relevant environmental regulations, standards, and effective industry practices
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite\xc2\xae
