Position Summary

We are currently looking for a hard working and dedicated Environmental Services Worker to fill a Casual position at the Parkside Intermediate Care Home.



In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, this position performs a variety of environmental services duties throughout the facility. Maintains clean and disinfected conditions in areas such as patient/resident/client rooms, Operating Rooms, Diagnostic Imaging and Laboratory, Labour and Delivery Rooms, washrooms, corridors, hallways, lounges, offices, and common areas used by staff, visitors and patients/residents/clients as established in Northern Health Regional Environmental Services Policies and Processes.

Parkside Intermediate Care Home

is a one storey facility that houses 58 residents in single occupancy rooms; each room has its own washroom. There are three separate wings, the 300 and 400 wing house 22 rooms each and the 200 wing has 14 rooms. At the end of the 300 and 400 wing there is a private sitting area for residents/family. Recreation Therapy is provided on site, which provides activities such as hymn-sing, school visits with the elderly, choral groups.

Qualifications

Grade 10 or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Skills and Abilities:

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to deal with others effectively. Ability to organize work. Ability to operate related equipment. Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
