Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Services Manager to oversee the mechanics of the building & cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for both staff and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in custodial services, with a focus on commercial cleaning practices. As the Environmental Services Manager, you will lead a team of custodial staff, ensuring that all cleaning protocols are followed and that our facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness.

Responsibilities

Manage and supervise the daily operations of the environmental services team, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality cleaning standards. Develop, implement, and maintain cleaning schedules and procedures for all areas of the facility & maintenance program for the mechanics of the building. Train and mentor staff on best practices in custodial work, including safety protocols and effective cleaning techniques. Conduct regular inspections of the facility to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards and address any issues promptly. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate cleaning efforts during events or special projects. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that all necessary materials are available for staff use. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and professional growth among team members.

Requirements

Proven experience in custodial services or commercial cleaning is essential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with staff at all levels. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules as needed.
