Environmental Services Attendant, Environmental Services Full Time $23.99 - $24.76 Reference#: 22-720A Acting as an effective team member, the Environmental Services Attendant (ESA) provides a clean, safe and attractive environment for the staff, clients and visitors of the Providence Care Hospital. The ESA is responsible to perform their duties in a manner that supports and implements the policies, procedures, routines, values, goals and objectives of the Environmental Services Department and Providence Care, including goals for high quality services and a positive work environment Role Responsibilities

• Contributes to timely, consistent, and quality cleaning of the premises by performing general cleaning

services, daily duties and thorough cleaning procedures as assigned

• Performs other duties such as stripping and refinishing of floors, washing walls/ceiling/windows,

changing and cleaning curtains, replacing light bulbs, lifting/moving equipment and furniture, snow removal, community cleaning, operation of hospital vehicles, and operation of mechanical lifts

• Identifies need to replenish supplies required to complete assigned work; completes order forms for

cleaning supplies and communicates any related concerns with Service Manager in a timely fashion

• Manages time effectively by adhering to assigned area work routine tasks and schedules and

communicates with Service Manager in a timely fashion when unexpected circumstances arise that may impact on ability to complete assigned work within allotted time

• Develops and maintains good working relationships with other staff, patients and visitors and

cooperates and communicates effectively, with nursing staff, office occupants and other staff where duties are performed

• Participates in annual review of the internal and external disaster manuals, Workplace Hazardous

Material Information System and Fire Safety, as well as participates in annual education regarding Non- Violent Crisis Intervention Required Qualifications and Experience:

• High School Diploma (or grade 12 equivalency)

• Basic knowledge of industrial/commercial cleaning procedures and understanding of the hospital

environment and cleaning requirements and standards

• Minimum six months of recent related experience working in similar sanitation/cleaning role;

experience in healthcare environment, preferred

• Demonstrated basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office Suite of products, including Word,

Excel, Outlook and Internet (i.e. Internet Explorer)
