Kiwanis Nursing Home is seeking a casual Environmental Service Attendant (Housekeeping) with availability over the summer!

Our nursing home is a fully regulated, 100-bed person-centered care home located in Sussex, New Brunswick. You will be joining over 100 other caring and amazing staff members who interact daily with our residents and their families. Our residents continue to rely on us to provide them with the highest quality of care in a safe and home-life environment every single day.

Reporting to the Support Services Manager, the Environmental Service Attendant (Housekeeping) is responsible for providing housekeeping and laundry services for our residents and the home.

Key Responsibilities

Cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, common areas, and other designated areas Laundry duties, including sorting, washing, drying, ironing, folding, etc. Replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towel, toilet paper and gloves Communicating with residents, team members, and family members regarding EVS needs Other duties as assigned by the Support Services Manager

Qualifications

High school graduation or equivalent Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to take direction and work as a strong team member Physically capable of performing assigned duties Flexibility/availability to work different shifts as needed The successful candidate will be required to successfully complete a medical check, criminal background check and Department of Social Development background check as a condition of hire.
This position is intended for extra help during the busy summer months, but could potentially be extended to a permanent casual position if operational needs allow. Please note there are no guaranteed hours for this casual role.

Pay: $18.72-$20.17 per hour
