Your Opportunity
We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Junior/Intermediate Contaminated Sites Professional to support our Environmental Services team from any of our offices in the Maritimes (Fredericton, Moncton, Saint John, Charlottetown, Dartmouth, or Sydney).
Our Environmental Services Team is dedicated to helping our clients manage issues professionally and proactively. Our team of professional engineers, scientists and technical support staff provide specialized services to a wide variety of sectors across Canada including manufacturing, industry, commercial, transportation, and government. We offer a full suite of services including contaminated sites assessment and remediation, emergency response services, hazardous materials assessment and abatement, industrial hygiene, and auditing (environmental and health and safety). You will be involved in all stages of project execution, from supporting field programs to preparing final deliverables and will have the ability to contribute in many of our services as you start or continue your career.

Your Key Responsibilities
Be responsible for adhering to Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) Policies, Procedures, Standards and Guidelines in the execution of all work.
Learn and apply new technical skills for the design, planning, and execution of environmental projects.
Complete environmental field sampling including soil, water, sediment, air and biota as required by the project.
Work as part of small and large teams both in person and remotely.
Manage tasks and project work under senior guidance according to approved scopes of work and deliver quality reports on schedule and within budget.
Support project financial management and scheduling.
Prepare reports, workplans and proposals using Stantec templates and following our quality standards.
Participate in business development activities, including preparing proposals and building relationships with current and prospective clients.
Interact and interface with clients and environmental regulators where appropriate.
Execute work on Federal projects (including obtaining required personal security screening) following Federal methodologies.
Assist in analyzing current and emerging technical issues, and implementing actions to proactively address market, business, regulatory, and/or economic issues.
Provide supervision, training, technical direction and mentoring to junior staff as your career progresses.
Apply technical and business knowledge and methods to develop creative, effective, and economical solutions to address project concerns.
Execute specific technical tasks or requirements for projects.
Contribute to Stantec's corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees.
Conduct peer reviews of routine and moderately complex work by colleagues or more junior practitioners.
Collaborate with Stantec service lines to create integrated project solutions for clients.
