Stantec's Environmental Remediation group is dedicated to helping our clients reduce their environmental liabilities by developing comprehensive remediation programs. We provide integrated, multidisciplinary services to identify and assess liabilities and risks, and to develop solutions to site management, remediation and mitigation. We have an immediate opportunity for an Environmental Remediation Project Manager to join our dynamic Environmental Remediation team in Calgary, Alberta.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a key member of the team, the successful candidate will have a broad range of responsibilities including:

Managing a variety of medium to large sized projects and ensuring that health and safety requirements and quality assurance and quality control standards are met. Managing and interacting with clients from various sectors, ranging from oil and gas to government, insurance, and commercial real estate

Providing staff mentorship and training

Working with senior management to determine the future direction of the practice by assisting with business development and responding to proposals

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Strong interpersonal, communication and critical thinking skills

Previous experience in environmental consulting and knowledge of current industry related codes of practice and regulations (both provincial and federal) is required.

Education and Experience

Degree (Masters degree preferred) in Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology or Engineering

8-10 years of related experience

Eligibility for professional registration with APEGGA or equivalent professional associations
