Clifton is currently searching for a full time, permanent Environmental Project Manager to join our Edmonton office. As an Environmental Project Manager, you will be a reliable, knowledgeable, and valued member of our Environmental practice team. You will focus on conducting safe field investigations, task-specific monitoring and sampling work, and report preparation. Responsibilities
  • Managing projects, writing proposals, preparing technical reports, and responding to client requests.
  • Supervising or conducting field surveys, inspections, technical investigations and testing of construction materials, soil, sediment, groundwater, air/vapour, and other materials.
  • Preparing technical work plans and cost estimates for investigations of contaminated soil, sediment, groundwater, and surface water.
  • Documenting installation of boreholes and monitoring wells including completion of comprehensive field notes.
  • Recording field data and observations, collecting samples, and maintaining detailed notes; and
  • Other duties, as required
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in environmental engineering, geology, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in environmental engineering and project management.\
  • Registered (or eligible for registration) as a Professional Engineer with APEGA.
  • Familiarity with environmental assessments, including impact assessments, environmental evaluations, environmental risk assessments, and a knowledge of how to navigate the regulatory approvals process.
  • Strong organizational skills, including effective management of multiple and conflicting priorities with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, in the context of work/life balance.
  • Ability to work independently on site, outside, and in remote locations for periods of time, tolerating variable weather conditions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Continued attention to safety and safe work environments, with a strong workplace safety orientation.
